Zero Pressure Conveying System

Zero pressure conveying systems are used when goods can not touch each other. It keeps a distance between the products while maintaining its set course. This system has several advantages:

  • No dynamic pressure
  • Quick and easy removal
  • Multiple sections powered by a single motor
  • Simple control via intelligent components

Type 530 / Type 531

These systems use mechanical clutch units driven by a single 5/8” tangential chain powered by one motor. Each section can be engaged or disengaged individually via a clutch that connects it to the tangential chain.

In addition to the 5/8” sprocket, each clutch also has a 1/2” chain mounted on the side of the section. This allows power transmission to each section to be switched on or off independently.

The system is controlled by an electro-pneumatic light sensor with integrated logic, while the actual clutch operation is handled by a pneumatic cylinder. The cylinder engages or disengages the clutch to stop or release the selected section as needed.

The result is a flexible, energy-efficient and reliable conveyor solution, easily adaptable to changing throughput requirements.

 

The Clutch System Type 530 is designed for transporting goods with loads of up to 10,000 N.
On one side, the clutch is equipped with a 5/8 x 3/8” Z13 sprocket featuring a Bolt Tooth Form for tangential drive.
On the opposite side, a 1/2 x 5/16” Z14 chain transmits the drive power to the connected conveyor section.

Important notice:

  • Maximum load capacity: 10,000 N
  • Maximum speed: 0.2 m/s
  • Please ensure that the breaking load of the 5/8” chain is taken into account when sizing pallet spaces.
  • Overrun for a 10,000 N load is approximately 200 mm.

 

The Clutch System Type 531 is engineered for transporting goods with loads of up to 1,200 N.
On one side, the clutch features a 1/2 x 5/16” Z11 sprocket with Bolt Tooth Form for tangential drive.
On the other side, a 1/2 x 5/16” Z11 chain transmits the drive power to the designated conveyor section.

Important notice:

  • Maximum load capacity: 1,200 N
  • Maximum speed: 0.3 m/s
  • Please take the breaking load of the 1/2” chain into account when sizing pallet positions.
  • Overrun for a 1,200 N load is approximately 100 mm

Type 536E

Type 536E features an electromagnetic clutch system. A motor-driven 5/8” tangential chain transmits power to the clutch’s primary sprocket.
Engagement and disengagement are precisely controlled by the drive system, which selectively isolates sections from the drive line whenever needed.

To ensure smooth, controlled operation and to prevent unintentional overrun of goods, a magnetic brake is mounted opposite the drive side.

The result is a robust and efficient conveyor solution that combines precise section control with minimal maintenance requirements. This type is ideal for applications where gentle and reliable material handling is key.

On the opposite side, a 1/2 x 5/16” Z14 chain transfers the drive power to the connected conveyor section.

This configuration ensures reliable power transmission and precise section control, making it ideal for demanding material handling applications.
